What to expect
Our journey begins from Kandy around 8:00 AM, heading towards Sigiriya
Our first stop will be at the Matale Hindu Temple, known for its vibrant Dravidian architecture
Then we’ll visit one of the famous herbal gardens in Matale, where you can learn about Sri Lanka’s traditional Ayurveda practices
Afterwards, we continue the drive to Sigiriya, where you’ll spend around 3 to 4 hours exploring and climbing the iconic Lion Rock Fortress – a UNESCO World Heritage Site offering breathtaking views and fascinating ancient ruins
After your climb, enjoy an authentic Sri Lankan lunch at a local restaurant
In the afternoon, we head to Dambulla to visit the Dambulla Cave Temple and the towering Golden Buddha Statue, both rich in cultural and religious significance
The tour concludes in Kandy, but if you're interested, your driver can also drop you off at a traditional cultural dance performance near the Temple of the Tooth Relic
